EthioMirai took part in SCAJ2026, the World Specialty Coffee Conference and Exhibition held in Tokyo — Japan's largest specialty coffee event, bringing together roasters, importers, equipment makers and coffee professionals from around the world.

Ethiopia is the birthplace of coffee — and walking through the venue, that heritage was everywhere: booth walls lined with the names of Sidama, Yirgacheffe, Guji, Limu and Kaffa, written in gold in the middle of Tokyo. The respect Japanese coffee culture holds for Ethiopian origin is real, and growing.
コーヒー発祥の地はエチオピアです。会場を歩くと、その存在感は至るところにありました。シダマ、イルガチェフェ、グジ、リム、カファ——東京のど真ん中で、金色に輝くエチオピアの産地名。日本のコーヒー文化がエチオピア産地に寄せる敬意と関心の高さを、肌で感じました。
Throughout the day, our team met Japanese roasters, importers and equipment makers, exchanged ideas with Ethiopian exporters, and explored how EthioMirai can help Ethiopian coffee reach more Japanese cups — from producer connections to business matching and cultural storytelling.
